Hey! I’m Owen, and Jelly Waffle Labs is my personal game development label. I’m a full-time software engineer who builds video games in my spare time as a creative outlet. Currently, Jelly Waffle Labs is run entirely by me as well as a few contractors I hire on a per-project basis. One day, I hope to grow Jelly Waffle Labs into a larger studio with a core team. I release my games on Steam, and this site is where I showcase what I’ve released and what I'm working on.
What kind of games do I make?
Roguelikes
I'm interested in making strategically dense games where the player is constantly learning and improving.
2D + Pixelated
I played a lot of NES games as a kid. Now, I add a modern touch to that style.
Single Player
Solo adventures are underrated. Almost as much as networking is difficult.

Knapsack Knights is an arcade-style roguelike where the player must defeat as many monsters as they can with random items they buy from shops along the way. Every item has a weight, and the player can only carry a certain amount. This forces the player to make many decisions about which items to buy and which items to leave behind. There are also many options for characters that spice up the game in different ways. Of course, this game is inspired by the classic 0-1 knapsack problem.
